2017 Elite Chess All-Grade

 

Elite Chess is excited to host the 2017 Elite Chess All-Grade. It is an event that has something to offer chess players of all ability levels. We are hoping to have over 200 players attend, so we would really appreciate you spreading the word!

The event will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Naperville North High School. More information is below.

Note: Registrations after 11/2 are not guaranteed a 1st round pairing and may receive a half point bye in round 1.

5 Rated Sections By Grade:
K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12

Round Times for Rated Sections:
Grades K-3; G/30+5, 5-SS, (9:00am, 10:15am, 11:45am, 1:00pm, 2:15pm)
Grades 4-5; G/45+5, 5-SS, (9:00am, 10:45am, 12:30pm, 2:15pm, 4:00pm)
Grades 6-12; G/60+5, 4-SS, (9:00am, 11:15am, 1:30pm, 3:45pm)

Prizes for Rated Sections:
Participation Ribbons For All Players
3 Team Trophies Per Section
5 Individual Trophies Per Section

3 Unrated Sections By Grade:
K-2, 3-5, 6-8

Round Times for Unrated Sections:
Grades K-8; G/30+5, 5-SS, (Round 1 at 9:00am, rest ASAP)

Prizes for Unrated Sections:
Participation Ribbons For All Players
5 Individual Trophies Per Section

Additional Info:
United States Chess Federation membership required for rated sections
Entry fee is $30 until 10/22, $35 after 10/22
Registrations after 11/2 will most likely not be paired in the first round
Top 3 players count towards team score (no club teams)
Team rooms are available for purchase ($75) - Email Jeff to reserve one
Onsite concessions and chess supplies will be available
No byes last round. Byes for any single round must be requested before the end of the first round. Only one bye allowed for tournament.
All other rules/regulations shall be in accordance with the USCF Rulebook.
