For the first time ever, Elite Chess is offering summer camps in Wheaton! Last year we had over 170 students take camp in Naperville and we are hoping for that type of excitement in Wheaton too. If everything goes as expected, we plan on offering more weeks of camp next summer. All camps will be instructed by Jeff DiOrio, the owner of Elite Chess.  Each year Jeff creates entirely new curriculum for summer camp, so even if you have taken our camps in the past, these ones will have different lessons.  All camps cover unique, specific, chess strategies so students will benefit from taking multiple camps. We hope you can join us in 2017 for a summer of fun and learning!

Beginner Chess Camp
Want to give your son or daughter a leg up in school and in life? Then give them the game of chess. This camp is for kids who want to start playing the great game of chess, but presently do not know the rules. They will learn the pieces, set up, and rules of the game. Students will be able to play an entire game of chess after day 4.

Beginner Camp - Learning the Rules of the Game
Dates: 6/12 - 6/16 - (9am - 10am) - $60
Held at Edison Middle School (Taught by Jeff DiOrio)

Intermediate Chess Camp
These camps are intended for students who already know how to play the game of chess and want to improve their skills. The camps focus on fundamental strategies that will lead to better understanding of the game of chess and more victories. The culmination of each camp is an exciting chess tournament where trophies will be awarded the top 3 finishers.

Advanced Chess Camps
These camps are intended for chess students who are looking to improve their tournament results. Camps focus on the intricacies of chess strategy and how to turn these ideas into victories. A USCF playing strength of 900+, or completion of an Intermediate Camp, is a good benchmark for the advanced level. The culmination of each camp is an exciting chess tournament where trophies are awarded to the top three finishers.
