2nd All Naperville Charity Chess Tournament

Elite Chess is excited to host the 2nd All Naperville Charity Chess Tournament!  Help us build a new tradition of playing chess for a good cause in our community.  All proceeds will be donated to the Naperville Education Foundation and the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation.  This is an unrated tournament that is great for players of all ability levels.  Our goal is to have 150 players compete, so please grab a classmate or friend and join us!

Description: An unrated scholastic chess tournament by grade level for Naperville chess players and their schools (there are sections for non-Naperville players too!).

​

Sections: K-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6-8, Non-Naperville K-3, Non-Naperville 4-5, Non-Naperville 6-8

​

Team Sections: 

K-1 (Lower Primary), 2-3 (Upper Primary), 4-5 (Elementary), 6-8 (Junior High)  

No team trophies for non-Naperville sections.

Prizes: 

Participation ribbons for all players. 

8 Individual Trophies For Each Section

3 Team Trophies For Each Team Section - Top 4 players count towards team score.  Must have 2 players to qualify as a team.  No club teams.

 

Where: Madison Junior High School - 1000 River Oak Drive, Naperville, IL 60565

 

Rounds: Doors open at 8:00am.  Round 1 begins at 9:00am.  All other rounds as soon as possible.  All players will play 5 rounds.  Time control is Game 30 with 5 second delay.

 

Registration: Entry fee is $25.  Entries after 2/22/25 cannot be guaranteed pairing for round 1 and may receive 1/2 point bye in round 1.
